Has anyone managed to sync up Fruity Loops and Mpc 1000 to use Fruity Loops to as a grid sequencer for the Mpc. How would you set up the midi settings on FL. Would you need to set up FL as the master and slave the Mpc or Vise Versa.

yo yo how do u wanna hook up the mpc1000 to flstudio? do u want mpc1000 to be master or slave?

they say the flstudio can only be master and any thirdparty sequencer has to be slave but in my setup i got flstudio to be my mpc1000 ****. let me know how u want this.

I need it so i can have grid sequencing for the mpc via fruityloops. So i can fill in the drum patterns in on FL but use the Mpc samples.

yo drummachine instead of doing it that way like u said why dont u get good at ur mpc1000 turn off flstudio learn ur mpc. as fro a daw recorder i know it cost thousands to get somthin made 100 years ago and it cost lots of mola to upgrade ur box. so the cheapest aproach i took was to continue to use fl in a way that no one has not. make ur fl slave to ur mpc using one midi cable going out from ur mpc1000 to ur computer midi in

now in flstudio go into ur midi propertys where it says master sync output select ur sioundcards output then for input select ur soundcasrn input controller type select generic controller and underneath it select autoaccept controller, now go to ur audio propertys for output i use asio4all if u dont have it use google and download asio4all, select the asio panel in here ur gonna have to tweak it so u dont hear any asio snap crackle pop sounds, u wanna get the latency of ur audio down to a low number such as 2ms where u cant even tell theres latency, but ya hit play on ur mpc1000 and ull notice fruitynow plays with mpc

thats how i ot fl to be slave
as for recording the song u made in the mpc1000 hit f9 that brings up mixer select fx4 rename it to recording so u know its recording in mixer bottom right corner select rec a window comes up call ur new recording a name hit ok, now rec should be lit now in fruityloops agin next to the play button select record button now that will be lit, now when u hit play in the mpc1000 hoping u got the tempo on flstudio to be the same as the tempo in mpc, go ahead and hit play and boom now u recorded ur song to flstudio

ohh ya i like to add to this, that in my method of recording with fl, its best to change the tempo in flstudio to match with the tempo in the mpc1000, because of fruityloops design its nto meant to work as slave. the correct mothod of having both sequencers work together is to have mpc1000 as slave and fl as master clocksman. ull learn and see for urself .ya definately play with it its pretty cool. write back if u got any questions ill be glad to help

if u got asio that came with ur soundcard then thats cool to , just follow the same instructions i gave to drummachine just ignore the asio4all part cause in that part what ull do is select ur asio in audio propertys of ur flstudio, hit me up in this post if u got mroe questions.

i use asio4all cause it works better than my creative asio. asio4all is way more tweakable than asio that comes with software or hardware
