What up my MPC heads...i know its all about your own creative process. But how do some of y'all go about adding bass to your Seq. with drums already layed down? Where do u like to place them?

That's all subjective to whatever type of drums you're using, as well as the style of the rhythm. The best thing to do is to experiment with different bass sounds to find a texture that sits well in the mix with your drums. Then create basslines that compliment your rhythms.

First off you need to find a key for your bassline well at least thats how i go about it. I usually go with C cause its easy to work with. I then build all the rest of my sounds around the bassline in the key of C. Works for me.

depends what i'm starting with or how i'm working on that project. If you're using a sample as the main theme of your piece, you'll want the bass to be in key with the sample, so i do bass after sample is in place.
sometimes its drums, bass, then fill with sounds. depends on the situation, but it' all gotta mesh in the end.

ay bro just auto chrome a simple bassy sound and create a new program and filter to your best needs and play over it in a new track, i sample in a electric guitar (the lowest note) and it comes out perfect, it sounds realistic

sometimes with samples i low pass filter same samples iv used in the sequence using them on other pads to follow the same sequence, just to thicken it up a bit, loads of methods though. i bought a book called beat tips by Sa'id, off futureproducers, was damn handy when i started.

get your main sample/loop/melody going then drop a bassline around it
