i use a kaoss pad w/ my mpc... cheap and "toy like" but intuitive and fun to use (which is important)

I like using the 8 out option into a patch bay so that I can route each track easily to the Korg Kaoss pad or modulate the beat with my Korg MS2000BR. 8in and 8out computer interface is essential. Tech 1200's and vinyl are also important.

I use Mpc 2000XL, Proteus 2000 with Mo phatt and planet earth chips. Midiman 49key midi controller. Mackie 1402VLZ mixer. PC with audiophile 2496 and Sonar. Samson Resolve 6.5 monitors. 2 Technics 1200SL, Gemini (crappy) mixer, and about 1000 records.

I use to sample on my ASR-X (resampling too) or S1000 (editing prog. via MESA too), I make my drumz on my MPC 2KXL (sometimes resampling drumz), synth basses, nappe & leads with a SUPERNOVA, B3 mic & dbx 376 tube's mic preamp, dbx 386 preamp/comp. module, record on a VS 1680 EX, SL 1200 & Gemini mixer, elecric basses.
I would like to add a SP1200, upgrade my 1680 to a 2480 CD & add a couple of ynaudio monitors to my Alesis.

How do you link up your kaoss pad to the mpc? Ive got one but just had it linked up to my turntable to mess around with the effects when i was skratchin'

you'll need four 1/4" to RCA converter cables... i have the eight outs so i send outs 1 and 2 as left and right into the kaoss pad (be sure to click the back switch to "direct"). if you have the kaoss pad 2 (like i do) you can also hook the midi in and out of the kp up to the mpc to record on sequences (and to edit on the mpc). this lets you make some real cool effects and opens up a whole new dimension to the kaoss pad...
