drums are off!!!

every time i record my drums on my mpc 1000 i play them back and they dont hit where i put them!!! i cant change the tempo cause the sample will be off , but the thing iz they sould be where i hit them!!! anyone one else have this problem???

is your timing off?

Turn off, or change your quantize (timing) settings.

to be honest, fellas, i was gonna say turn timing ON

i thought he would want it on maybe 1/16. at least it will place his drums on the 'grid' instead of them being exactly where he hit the pads at.....

maybe im confused?

In the main screen selec the timing field and turn it to 'off'.

Just about anything musical can be played with the correct quantize setting. If 1/16th notes arent doing it try 1/16th triplets...

I never have the time correct to 1/8 which I think may be default. when im banging mad loops in at 2000bpm and it comes out sounding like twinkle twinkle, i know the timing is set to 1/8, try 1/16 and get the swing to 50 and start there,. failing that press the Red button
