It's basically the same thing , the only difference is that in grid edit you see dots and in step-edit you see lines with settings.

In other words the grid-edit is a graphical representation of the command-lines you see in the step-edit, gives you a better view of the notes being played.

Grid edit's nice anyway, a visual step sequencer let's you edit parts quickly and easily.

Chop shop's cool too for drum breaks, just set the sensitivity etc and it lets you get on with making the beat quicker.

I don't use patched phrase myself, don't really know how to use it properly yet.

That's right, set the sensitivity first in order to make it work as it is supposed to work. I like both these features.

naw i dnt think dat its exactily like dat lol.. i jus want it for da hd and da cd burner... all dat chop shop and shyt seems liek it would do da work for u!

dont bite the new features bruv, they are all good, helpfull, just means you can get through the more tedious parts quick n get creative asap. grid edit is nice to check the visuals layout sometimes.

Patched phrase is sweeeeet as.

Take your four bar loop for eg.
Then run it through Chop Shop
C.S. Detects the peaks and troughs in the waveform.
Once the waveform is Sliced, the C.S. assigns regions to each individual part in the waveform by detecting the attack of the phrase.
When you slow the tempo down the regions simply get processed slower and vice versa.

Do you personally have any CS settings that you tend to stick to for sensitivity etc or do you always change it depending on the sample?
