They should stand behind the 4000 and the 1000, adding features that have kept people from buying it to widen their market base.

The 1000 could be a a 2kxl killer with OS updates. Although fat chance on chromatic assign, but timestretch and reverse shouldn't be a problem.

IMO Roland is killing it with effects. Realtime reverse and timestretch on their budget samplers for years already.

OK I understand they look at the XL as an old product, but they still make it and in new color at that... so why abandon it's installed base of thousands or more and not upgrade to a new os? it's gonna upset alot of people who shelled out money for products they make and have problems using...

OR

why not just start a petition for an OS update...

This site must be the biggest mpc supporter so they(akai) might wanna listen to us?????????I doubt it will take them too much time to program an update......

MPC_TUTOR can we start a petition for an os update???

By Kilowax Fri Jan 23, 2004 11:26 am
Yes Shyda ready for the petition!!

but, what should be included in that update?

and i guess the available memory space for the OS is already full.
