I'd been tapping away on a nice little beat and when the time came to save (on hard disc) it froze completely while I was creating a directory. Disappointing but I suppose that's the way it goes with computers sometimes! I'll see if it happens again and if there's any pattern to it...

Air it happened to me and i lost my best beat....you should just create folders during the begining of your sessions. This is a huge problem and Akai has to fix it in the next software update.

Ah, I'd not been keeping up with the current bug status so didn't realise it was a known problem. I'm used to only creating a folder once the beat is underway and suggesting a working name but as you say, I'll have to reverse that. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon. Ta!

Saving to the HDD or the CF? I'm hearing this issue mainly on HDD so I'd suggest saving to CF then HDD.

Well pleased I don't use the HDD myself, sounds like there's a lot of issues with them...

Anyway, happy holiday;)

Man, I have the same problem it has happened twice after working for like 2 hours - lost everthing - I hope Akai will adress this problem because I get really nervous evertime I save now and that sucks.

when I first bought my 1000 it crashed all the time, then I took it back, they gave me a new one and I haven't had any issues, even now with the new O.S. I rarely have any problems with it.

yea, i found out making new folders before saving it work and avoids problems. But then im left with 3 versions of the same beat. But its all good. I just want to document it and not having to worry about it. I send an e-mail to akai and the picture. Keep ya fingers crossed..

The HDD - it's the first time it's happened to me, I've been creating folders fine until now. I think I'll create them all in advance, as has been suggested!

it's really no big deal, just a minor inconvenience when you learn to work around it. just adjust yourself and your productivity is not limited at all.
