Y does it take so long to transfer files from mpc to pc

I have the mpc 1000 how do I rerecord a song I've made and also is there a way to place an intire song in one pad

if it's not that big the transfer should be quick enough.

Akai puts Usb 1.1 ports instead of 2.0 ports in the Mpc...that's why transfer takes so long.
