I bought a 4gig external from scsiforsamplers.com (they said the 2k cant read a bigger drive). can I use a ext. and internal? I could always use the ext. with my motif but it can read a much bigger drive. what type and size of internal drive can I put in a 2k? THis will be the last tech up grade. I'm installing a card reader but wanted to get the hard drive first to save songs off floppy? does it matter what type of card and why?

What MPC do you have ? The 2kxl or the 2k classic ?
The 2k classic has no internal scsi nor ide port so your best bet is to go for external scsi drives.
