Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

Hi,

I bought an MPC4000 nearly 6 months ago. On the whole, I am very happy - it has done wonders for my creativity and my music is really coming to life. However, there is a big niggle.

I have some long-ish loops as well as hits, and sometimes I find that I can load up a song and... WHOOPS! one or more loops can have clicks/glitches in them that were not there before. How can I get round this problem?

Many thanks

Richard .

I am adding a poll for MPC4000 users - does your MPC4000 introduce clicks to samples ?

My apologies to AWW_NAWW and anyone else offended by my post. I don't know if many people still use the word 'niggle', as in niggling doubt, nit-picking etc. The word does not seem to have any offensive connotations:

Pops and clicks can be done away with with slight envelope decays on the end of the envelope that clicks. Attack (beginning) or Decay (ending).

i have the same problem occasionally...its like your loops dont load the way you saved them, its even happened on 1 shot samples once or twice

could it possibly be a glitch in the OS??? the 1.5 v definitely has alot of little reported bugs, maybe it is something along those lines...there was an official statement released by Akai addressing the problems with the OS, and they are in the process of revamping it
