clean breaks on funk / soul

Hi there, I am 100% new to this, I have downloaded a few funk songs to get a flavor, I really like "I believe in miricles" by the jackson sisters. I am looking for anything like that or the meters etc but most importantly to sample clean breaks, please can you help me get started with some suggestions of records I should look out for?

if you dig on this exact forum you will find a thread on mass breaks you can try to find but bhuntis right you need to get out and find some stuff for your self. i got some stuff but i cant tell cause if i do then it will be out and i might not be the one that found it then, thats the joy to diggin you help out but you keep the good stuff to your self.

There's a little "Beginner's guide" to digging on the Breaks as well:

That will give you a little guideline as to what to look for. But eventually you'll have to go out there, dig the crates, listen in to a lot of records, and with a little practice you'll soon find some stuff you like.

i just won a job lot of 28, 1970's 45 records (soul and funk) for guess how much....£1.70 ebay is cool man!

I know i like stuff like the meters curtis mayfield jackson sisters, but i have a background that is in modern music, so this is all new to me!
