no midi output from output a to D ??

Hi,
I just tried to setup the MPC pads to trigger my Novation Drumstation (through Cubase) and it doesn't work at all.
I checked the outputs from the MPC (2500), and they don't send any midi output at all. Checked the manual, but unfortunately can't find out what to do... Even this forum didn't help
Can anybody help me please ?

Set the Track type to MIDI instead of DRUM and the channel of the Track to right one at the bottom of the main screen. You can set it from A1-A16 through D1-D16 correspondingly, which one's the right depends on the equipment connected.

If you are planning on recording the button movements on the DrumStation you will need a MIDI cable back in to the MPC from the DS.

This is what I'm using at the mo, works well eh?
