+Yo whats up every1.? chillin-anyway I 've had my 1k for 5 days now and i've figured out just about everything and have read the manual twice(in its entirety,cept 4 tha Japanese part??!!) anyway i can dso just bout everything without having to look iun the manual(i.e. editing samples,setting mute groups,mono-poly, setting up all the midi settings for my synth,etc....-still usin os1.07---gettin winxp from my boy so i can update my cpu so i can get the akai upgrades(os) and some free and purchased sample libs/pgms/sounds/etc.... anyway b4 i go to my "studio" i burn 1 and i'll listen to either Jeru's 1st lp or the Group Home lp for inspiration and ideas... anyway I cant seem to get my beats sounding right like seq 1 track 1,2,3 like i want to make my 1st sequence my songs intro so i set the bars for 4-6 and then i lay down trk 1 then i'll do trk2,and so on i cant get things to be wiythin the bars---i might be explaining this wrong but---i cant get shit to sound right i got mad ideas and samples im going to flip/chop or even just make a 3bar loop or somethin but then when it comes to physically doing it on my mpc1k and alesis micron i have troubel-----will playin with the tsig and/or t.c. help me sort this s@#t out??? Anyway help...Im not dumb,im not a lil kid, and i have read the man---i can take a samp and chop it and freak it nice but them whem i go to lay down the tracks for my seq's im at a loss...........?tried stoned and sober to no avail. anybody know where i can see more mpc1k videoes---especaillty the ones SPARQ made??? cant find em in the SEARCH function on this site----Seen the one on choppin on os1.07----helped me out TREMENDOUSLY so maybe if i see him in action again i can get my thang in action----Shout to SPARQ-=--------you da S@#T!!!!!!!!!!!!if i see you do it 1 time i can do it---you a great teacher imma call u SENSEI-------Follow the leada!!!!!!!!
