who else left the plastic protective covering on the lcd of your 2500? i can never seem to let go, and just peel the damn thing off. haha. in fact, i had the plastic on for the life of having my proteus 2000, and i bet that the one on my new MPC is gonna be on for a while.

I had the plastic film on the screen of my MP-7 for years. I kept the plastic on my MPC2500 for about 4 months as well. I broke down a few days ago and took the plastic off of both... biggest mistake EVER!!! I went to dust off the MPC a few days ago and noticed that I scratched the screen. They aren't too noticeable but they're there and it pisses me off!

the screen on my 1000 is scratched as hell, i kind of like it, makes it look worn in. i want to replace it with a different color plastic though. that's the next project.

i didnt mind taking mine off cause with mpcs its fairly easy to get replacement parts...

if it was a rare piece or something, then yes i would be protective about it and keep the plastic...

the plastic stayed on my machinedrum for a long time cause shipping to/from sweden is a pain :)

I have to get rid of it. When the corners go its just askin' for a peelin'

You can actually buy such adhesive covers new for displays of digital cameras and such....if you prefer to leave one on for scratch protection and the original one peels off.

Keep that in mind as well when you buy equipment with "protective foil" still on the display on eBay

It's a must that I keep the plastic on my screen. :D
