Resets when trying to get to grid edit mode?

hey guys,

i just bought my 2500 after selling my 2000xl, have put 128mg ram in there & its just started doin this thing that when i try 2 get 2 the grid edit mode by pressing mode-->grid mode (pad 15) it resets?

just wondering if any1 has had this problem or has any ideas as 2 wot might b the problem?

do you have a hard drive installed? any chance you installed the latest os update off the internal drive? I did this and my 2500 would restart all the time when changing functions. Just a guess ...

dont have a hard drive installed as far as i know but i did get that os update, wot did u have 2 do 2 fix up the problem? restore the old os?

Take the Mem out and see if it still does it.
Try a Factory Reset on it?
Otherwise I'd take it back if I were you.

The update could be messed up as well when installed from CF card. I would try reinstalling it from another CF card before actually taking it back.

cool will try those things out & see how it goes, hopefully i wont have 2 replace the whole damn thing!

until just now... everytime i go into grid edit [RESET]...

go into step edit [RESET]....

almost seems like a soft reset though...

powered off and back on no more [RESET]... lost a nice scratch idea in thr process...man, i feel like I'm back on my ASR-X....

Did you reset (power up while holding in the 'Erase' button for a few seconds)?

Personally, I'm running 1.1 I think the resets were supposed to be addressed in 1.1 per the release notes (just read them yesterday), but with the system test issue, i'm not trying to go there (1.2). I just got it and don't want to bother with OS reloads and rollbacks if it might not work (I think jahrome's didn't work..)
