Yo guys,

yesterday i finally discover how 2 detect sound on my pc from my mpc1000, but only with the windows record thing. Ik bought cool edit for a beter sound record. But it won't detect any sound. Very strang if u ask me. Maybe i do someting wrong i dunno. I'm using a jack in the phones en then with a cable to my pc (mic input the pink one)

the concept will work but your going about it the wrong way

there is instructions on how to do this properly in the sticky at the top of the 1k forum - its a vid made by sparq

do you have an audio/midi interface??

If not you will be better off resampling into the MPC then transferring the .wav files to the pc through usb

let me know whats up and I will help u out from there.

just conect the cable form stereo out in the mpc to the line in in the soundcard.now in the record properitis mark "line in"

Wy can i only record 55 seconds?

You must only have the standard 16mb of ram

you must upgrade to be able to use the machine to its full potential

at the top of this forum there is a sticky explaining what you need to do.

Just some advice - order from newegg.com - it will be around 40 bucks from them.

What do u mean with the record propertis mark line in?

Double click on the little speaker icon in your systemtray, Options>Properties Highlight the circle next to Recording and hit OK. Make sure the device you want(you want the pink one so mic) is checked off. But I agree you should transfer .wav's directly rather than recording with a wire.
