Playing back sequences that include midi

I apologize for this stupid question, but after I have used Reason as a sound module and have sequenced it on the mpc-1000. Why is the midi data no longer there after closing Reason? What am I doing wrong? Am I expecting something that is not possible? Could you please point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Are u saving the Reason sessions? If not then thats why your MIDI information isnt there.

Thank you. I didn't realize that I had to that, but it makes total sense as the mpc wasn't actually recording audio. Anyway to get around being dependant on Reason, aside from the obvious of stop using Reason?

sample your reason sounds into the mpc, and try to work them from there since you like the sounds so much.

or just get a batch of new sounds, put them all in the mpc and stay away from reason if you wanna just learn the mpc.

try and restrict your self to the mpc alone and give it some personal time.
be patient and open your mind to a different way of producing and you'll be fine.

Yeah, don't even turn on your PC, unless to read your manual, grab some headphones and a stack of records or something to sample and get down to business. Now that I'm done school, this is also my plan for the day tomorrow.

Also do a search in the MPC1000 section. There were a few .PGM files up that u could possibly use. I know it was a Bass one up i have it if u still interested.

But anyways yeah get you some records and get to work. You will be amazed at what u can create on a mpc alone.
