I'm trying to load sounds & pgm to my MPC 2000 for the first time, why does my free memory for snd=0? 
Check if your RAM is seated correctly.
Maybe you have bad RAM.
Switch them around to different slots and try again.
Discharge static electricity from your body before opening your MPC.
