PT-01 Thread

love mine just replaced the needle due to an nasty fall but other than that i've never had an issue with it

i've learned to listen to records thoroughly. if i dont notice somethign at first, most likely, i will later.

Hey I'm getting very large hiss sound and very low volume on my mpc when I try to record'em. doesn't anybody get this problem? and could you tell me what cable you use for sampling? thanks.

i just got mine yesterday. When i got home i went to hook it up to my home stereo reciever. Was getting hiss and distortion. Then i went to hook it up to a line in and it works great. Try hookin your shyt up to the line input on the mpc not the phono.

i'm really into this little thang. been wanting one for a few weeks for my living room and for diggin. Can't wait to go diggin next time with it. It is also seeing some good use in my living room since the tt's are down in the studio.

my first turntables were numark and they were complete garbage, sold them like 2 months after i got them and bought technics. haven't looked back.

I got mpc 1000 no phono. Anyhow, I think it's cable problem, I am using rca cable with two rca to 1/4" adapters and adapters seem to be very loose.

ur a tripper man, the vestax looks sooo cool , i like the way it folds into the carry case, does the numark do that?

The numark has a lid that you just put on and there is a slider that locks it on. It's very easy to take on and off.

BTW I just got home from picking up my PT-01. I have yet to try it. It's a really nice looking machine. Designed real well looks and ergonomics wise. I'ma go try it out though now. Peace.


Edit: Now that I have had a chance to use it. I gotta give it the bug thumbs up. Numark sure put a heavy duty needle on that mofo didn't they?

nice man, .. but i'l prob get the vestax cos it jus looks nice and oldschool, and i like vestax on the whole, they pretty good.

My only beef with the pt 01 is its so loud. There is like a big amp or somthing in it so you dont have to run it through a dj mixer(a good thing), but you can hear the music coming from the depths of the machine.

Having a problem sampling with my PT01, I have the rca out connected to the DI and line in on the back of my MBOX2. First off, i only get sound out of my left speaker until i engage the mono switch on the MBOX. It get worse tho, when im recording my samples into audacity only the left channel is coming thru. Sampling in mono is no big deal but i want to sample in stereo, wtf if going on?

I should have bought the pt-01. For some reason i bought a Stanton T.80

I dont know if i wore out the needle or something but its only one month old and I do a lot of backspins for my sampling at first, It produces this ridiculously distored static filled song, it still has the song, but it is completely distorted. Any suggestions?

if you hook it up to a sampler or something trough the line-outs, does sound still come out of the pt01s speaker?
