Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

By Kil Thu Apr 27, 2006 2:38 am
I'm new to the MP and these boards...I wanted the white 2000xl but ended up getting a blue one off of ebay and I figured it out like this...if I'm not mistaken the white ones are the older ones so in my opinion if you're copping a used one it's got more mileage on it (unless you find one in mint condition) then the blue ones which could mean more problems...so I would go with the blue one...just my two cents...

I guess it's really up to you... personally I don't like the blue model; the grey one just looks more oldschool
but unless it's really in a mint condition, I'd buy a new one

Either one will work sweetie. ITs a preference thing. U want the new feel get the blue version u want the old skool feel get the grey version. U want MCD get the blue version u want floppy/zip get the grey version. U like the color blue get the blue version u like color grey get the grey version. U have a bunch of money get both versions.

THe Point of that is ITS UP TO YOU. Both will do the same thing its just the blue version is MCD. You can turn a grey one into a blue one.

If you got the doe get a new one, Blue has MCD and Grey has floppy. Besides that there is no difference between grey & blue xl's except one is grey and one is blue.

If you don't like the blue, I will trade you the skin and the front panel. Straight up. My white for your blue. I think the blue looks great. (also the grey pads if you want them).

Let me know

Doesn't the 2500 have O.S. issues at the moment?

To answer the original question... to buy any audio equipment new is dumb (except maybe a mixer). If you buy an MPC used, it will always be worth what you paid for it. If you buy it new, you piss awy $800 dollars the minute you open the box.
