You need to scroll through the regions (far right) to hear the next sample!

I don't think you can have any preset settings really, depends on the sample. Usually if it's too sensitive i just increase the threshold

Yeah the threshold shouldnt affect the RAM, it's just a minimum level at which the chop will take place.

If you wanna check how much RAM is in use, go to the record screen (Mode + pad 5) and hit window.

If you haven't increased the RAM to 128 MB...don't delay any further. Upgrade the RAM.

Do you work for an Akai service center or something?

No. I do not work for Akai or an Akai service center. I am a long time MPC fanatic. I never hide this fact.

 So, why do you want to know?

Several of us in the forum picked up the 2500s when they were released in Japan. I most likely know as much/less as any of them.

Personally, I have been putting this MPC through hell and reporting the problems I find. Why? Because I love MPCs and would never use anything else (I think). I hope Akai does stay in business and continue to put out these classic instruments.

This a little basic use the threshold to set the volume level at which the chop shop will slice like -4 kicks, -6 snares, -12 and -20 quiet instruments like on your mixer board.

The sensitivity is for the number of chops or slices like in recycle according to the tempo of the loop.

Also check the end adjust set to 0 or not if you want an overhang of sample on the next pad if you are slowing the tempo down, if you are speeding the tempo up then set to 0.

Good luck.
