lack of timestretch on MPC 1000? please help with questions!

hey all just a couple of questions i want to ask,

now before anyone loses it cuz they heard this questions 1000 times, if you dont wonna answer them, then could you just send us some links to stuff that will cover this!

questions

1)Does the MPC 1000 have a timestretch function? cuz a little birdie told me it didnt!

2)With the MPC 2000XL will i be able to buy some sort of external hardrive etc so i can save suquences & wav. files etc externaly from the machine, but acess them from the machine for peformance and editing etc? if so what? and where would i get it?

3)if i bought and used this 'DRIV-CDEX8' which is an external SCSI CD ROM drive, and hook it up to the 2000XL, will i be able to read wav. files, samples etc onto the MPC and then store them on the 2000XL storage option?

4) can you send wav. files from your PC to the 2000XL???

2)Yes - Scsi Zip 100MB/250MB (Is the popular choice)...Ebay...Computer Shop

3)Yes (Not back onto the drive tho, the zip)

4)Only by disk....MPC cant not communicate with PC's through connection

Stop listening to little birdies. Read the manuals for the machines you wanna know about. If there is no option to upgrade to spinning rims on the 2k/2kxl then you probably can't do it.. You can try though..
