ok.. thanks for a little feedback but its kinda not enough boss. I know you could trigger the s950 with midi board or mpd type pad, but for a low budget setup, what could i use for a decent sequencer to sequence the samples from the s950? or maybe i could just record onto a hardware or software multitrack recorder, track by track with the mpd or midi controller? what do you guys suggest?

your gonna need a software or hardware sampler. You know about triggering sounds. You could look into a drum machine? Alesis Sr-16? It comes with a built in sequencer. How cheap are you looking?

yamaha QY-10 or higher.

Or just find an MPC, any MPC has a great sequencer.

Atari 1040. Pretty crappy but if you can use Cubase fine then u will like the midi timing. It's way tighter then most Pc based sequencing  . But not as tight as the MPC-don  , not in a 1000 years! Feel Me... :)

Hi EFOURSEVEN,

If you're looking that really chip, exiting & perf. , why not you look at the ASQ-10?
It will kill wid your S950 cuz it's the same seq. den a MPC 60... and build so strong...
Feel me?

To trigger you can use any midi keyboard or drum machine... I used to trigger my boy's akai s3000 with his Korg DDD1 drum machine while he sequenced on Cubase...
