which one to choose??

im very close to buying an mpc but i dont have many resources to use, meaning i would only be able to use the mpc by itself at first instead of linking it to a computer out of the box (which is something i really dont want to do anyway) and i was wondering which one would be better to use: the 2500 or the 2000xl mcd. i have read on here that there are many bugs with the 2500, what about the xl mcd??. also what would i be sacrificing if i got the xlmcd instead of the 2500. thanks for the help
