people complaining that the 1000 has no time stretch, reverse, delay WELL THATS WHAT THE USB IS FOR to be computer friendly.I know it's a **** to transfer but just think about it.Lay your drums on the mpc then transfer to comp using a editor ex: sound forge to equalize compress whatever same with your samples for timestretch then just put everything back into the mpc with the same patterns and everthing.

"yeah thats just great for gigging"

I really find it hard to beleive that you use the timestretch feature in the MPC2000XL in the middle of a gig. How is the lack of this `feature` (that everyone complained about in the first place and never used) relavent to a live gig? I do not understand. Please explain.

Time stretch is a nifty feature, but you don't NEED it, I've made beats without timestretch for 4 years... I think I used the Reverse feature on my 2000 once... these features are not necesary... but if you just must have them you can go with a 2000XL used, or some computer software...
