Read manual and following instructions as far as i can tell.

However when I record a sample and assign it to a pad, I go to the main page to hit the pad and there is nothing there!!! Not sure whats going on here or if I am missing a step! Any help would be great!! Thanks

GAH!!

translation: go out to grampa's garage. grab the dirtiest most crusted-over congealed candy shelled booger housepaint cans...choose the worst...apply to mpc1000 with sledgehammer, whilst drunk on grain alcohol...post pics on mpc forums board in sig...reinforce that you're really happy with your piss-poor paint application by increasing pic size and frequency of posts...

...

...something about straight razors and cranberr juice, i forget...

once again, you see why i really dont like some of this forum...
some guys really try to help out but some think they are so profound making fun of others
i know its really an newbie question and it is in the freaking manuel but there are so many things you have to pay attention to especially as a newbie...
and maybe it has ever come to your mind that the manual is not in ones NATIVE language? many people dont speak english that well and what i'm to do with that 100 pages of japanese?
thika about it... what would you do if the manual came in german or french?
and, by the way, the manual is not very helpful if u dont have any clue what all those specific expressions mean...

for your problem: be careful that in main mode the right program is selected cause most of the time when u start from scratch it says prgram1 ...
so if you assign it to a pad in a specific progrm in "program mode" make sure u also select that program....

and make sure you selected the CORRECT BANK A/B/C/D !!! (happens to me a lot )
;)

hope that helped°

The program was exactly the problem I was having! Thanks for your understanding regarding my question as I am just trying to get use to the hardware world of things! My bad to anyone I annoyed asking this question! Bless...
