He`s nice and gets mad respect from everyone. Face it he`s an traditonal musician so all anyone has to do is that the time to learn to play your instruments. I`m willing to bet that the dude was an guitarist or piano player before touching the mpc.

Still a good dj or programmer would have to do a hell of a search thru their crates to find the parts to recreate a similar thing. If playing is`nt up to par programming skills have to come up or get a trained musician to play your parts to sample.

that nikka prahs nice on the kalimba! last track we did, he had that instrument in the mix. I own one too (straight from africa) but ive never used it in my beats. tonight i will though!

yeah thats also real hot. i'd say they're both real close on the sick factor but i still gotta say 20syl is better, cuz of his creativity, and we gotta watch him make the beat. also the vocal transition in the middle of the track dosen't flow right with the rest of the beat.

first off, yes it was a joke.

second, 20syl used that sample a lot better. the fat jon version doesn't mesh as well with the rest of the track, not that his is bad, 20syl's is just more fluid, imo.

word, just picked up another copy of that billycobham and georgeduke, been looking for it for a while, got some really ill basslines and drum samples. fat jon respect to you for getting more creative with filtering and whatnot, but the 20syl beat flowed much better with the sample
