I'll say my little piece about behrenger. In terms of quality, they get a way worse reputation than what i have found to be true. My mixer gave very little problems over 3 years. Nothing i'd ever complain about in a $50 mixer. My compressor has to be like 7-8 years old. I've had it for 2-3 years, my friend had it before me for a year, and he picked it up used. BUT, when i needed more channels with my mixer, my little eurorack just sounded terrible in comparision. It was fairly loud when recording. That's not a huge deal, It gets lost in the mix, but it was defineatly noticable. When it came to monitering off it though, i'd find the noice intolerable now. But it was a $50 mixer, what do you expect. I would not say the quality is there at all, but it does the job for the price. My compressor is fine, does it's job. I use light compression when recording in, no problems. You can't really tell it is there, no coloring the sound, good or bad. My headphone amp works great, cheap, no complaints. It's just hit or miss.
For me, i try to keep anything behringer out of the recording process. Nothing they make has impressed me in that field. Some stuff does it job, but it's never great. Some stuff is decent, some stuff plain sucks.
