I've seen this one. This an excerpt from an article in MIX magazine I think. He tells exactly how he does his mix and what equipment he uses. I can't remember which issue it was. I'll try to find it because it really is a good read.

what does dre mean when he says he he doent do anything digital he goes stright to dat?does that mean he ain using a computer for recording?

No, he said he doesn't like ProTools. He records to analog tape (Quantegy 499 to be specific about the tape stock), then mixes down to DAT.
