Does MPC1k have a switching power supply?

i ask this because i'm thinking of picking one up that was originally bought in america, and thought that seeing as it has an onboard power supply it would work anywhere in the world with just a change of a power cord. i know some power supplies only work for one country, was just wondering if someone else had used theirs in more than one country. ta.

It does not have a voltage select on there. I don't know if it's of any help, but it uses a standard AC cord that you can buy at a Radio Shack (not sure if you have Radio Shack out there).

It has been asked before and I'm pretty sure that the power supply works international.

The power supply on my mpc1000 says AC100-240V 50/60Hz - so it should AUTO-Select what voltage it needs.

Just change the power-cord - or even better - use your existing power-cord and buy one of those international adapters for your cord.

Then you can use your mpc anywhere you go and you don't have to take different cords with you.

aye, i'm in australia and i bought mine from america. i just swapped the plug and hey presto. no problems.

and what about England ? enybody knows ? instruction manual says:"
This equipment is fitted with an approved non-rewireable UK mains plug.
To change the fuse in this type of plug proceed as follows:
1) Remove the fuse cover and old fuse.
2) Fit a new fuse which should be a BS1362 5 Amp A.S.T.A or BSI approved type.
3) Refit the fuse cover.
is that thru ? when i'm travel to England i must remove the fuse ?

remove the fuse? no i don't think so.

I have used mine in Ireland and the US, it works fine with anything from 110 to 240.
