2000xl roadcase

Hi all,
l im in the market for a roadcase for the 2kxl. I read somewhere that you can fit the 2kxl perfectly in a technics 1200 flightcase. Is this so?? anyone use them? does it fit snug??

Im curious cause its potentially going to be cheaper than buying one of the skb ones..

my buddy uses one of these with some foam in the bottom so its the correct height.

but no info on if i can fit it in a technics 1200 roadcase...

That info maybe helpful for when u find out the dimensions of the flight case.

Im getting one made that when i take the lid off takes the back off also.. so i can get to the back easy enough...

Just havent got around to taking it to the guy cause he dosnt work weekends and i cant get it there before i start work (too much sleepin in)

i have a couple of tech 12's with road cases, the 2kxl is smaller in both width and length, so it possibly could work, but it wouldn't be snug.

they are decently smaller than 1200s. you could use a 1200 case and stuff a towel or something in there though.
