saving a programs & sounds?

Hi just to double check that when saving a programs & sounds in the save menu that the mpc2000xl does'nt save any editing of the sample you may have done in the trim screen. Do you have to save the edited sounds individually if you know what I mean - then save a program & sounds in save menu.

If u changed a sound and u save the program if im not mistaken it saves that info. If not somebody correct me. I know it works for me. Im using the 2k classic.

Yeah there are like 16 sounds in the program, I'd chop the samples down in the trim screen then save this program & it sounds in the save menu, turn the mp off for a while then when I turn it back on and reload the program all the sounds are at there original length? I can't remember if this was the case before

Remember when you change a sample using trim the name of that sample stays the same. This can cause problems if you don't select "replace disk samples" when your saving. If you don't select this option the MPC assumes that the edited sample is the same as the one on disk so when you reload the program the unedited sample will reappear.

Save APS, save ALL. Replace all sounds when saving. Time consuming. huh?!? What, it's not even a minute for me. What life changing/threatening event is gonna happen while you are there standing/sitting waiting for your mpc to save.

Take the time to save correctly.

Well I saw this movie where this nuke was counting down with those big red scary digits and ... nevermind Some people take this "time cost money" waaaaay to serious.

1)Begin an MPC session
2)Save when done
3)Go to the washroom
4)Wash hands
5)Come back from washroom,
6)Turn off MPC
7)Go to sleep
Wake up at noon the next day
9)Hit the bong
10)Eat cereal
Repeat
