EQ'ing drums

hey. does anyone take the time to eq their drums? i just bought some drum kits online (cuz i don't have any drum records to sample from) and they're pretty decent. but i want to funk em out. so, if you do eq em', how do you do it?

OMG if u rocking a VS-2480 and u cant get some crazy sounds u out yo mind. Da roland effects are crazy man. Track dem beats and apply dem effects also u got da VGA for it so its easy as hell. I know i love my vs-2000 and i had to explore to learn what works and what doesnt work.

Thats a 3k dollar multi-track. If you cant get your drums to knock with the effects on that, then maybe try prayer... people sleep on prayer.
