MPC2500 BIG KNOB??

I have heard that the knob feels kinda light compared to older MPCs but do you think the actual KNOB UNDERNEATH is quality and built-to-last? Like maybe the actual knob feels lighter but is it still going to LAST for a long time like my previous MPC2000 knob?? Like the actual component on the BOARD is QUALITY but the FEEL of the knob just isn't as nice...I did alot of spinning that knob with my old unit and I just want to make sure the MPC2500 is built tough like the other ones....thanks!!

..time will tell. i personally think the 2000 and 2000xl knobs were "sturdier", but then again i dont know too much about the ergnomics and technicalities of knobs...overall i think you'll be good, knob just takes gettign used to. =-bena

It feels stiffer than the XL knob, in a clunkier, clickier type of way.

I prefer the XL but it's really no big deal

They will never compare to the data wheel on the MPC2000 classic. Yeah!!Everybody wanted those on their XLs and stuff.

I liked the 2000xl knob a lot more. Like the cat above said... it was looser.. less clicky, I guess...

I haven't had my 2500 as long as many of you have, but will the "stiff-ness" of the data wheel eventually loosen up? Has it for you longer users of the 2500? I feel like I have to put in too much work to have to turn the damn thing. I guess I was just so used to my XL....

the nob on the classic was the best but the 2500 knob id say would come in second followed by the 2kxl and then the 1kor4k

anybody else starting to LIKE the feel of the 2500 knob after they hated it at first??

Yeah the feel's cool, just wish it was quieter. My mum goe's creazy when i'm scrolling making beats in the early hours of the morning!

The 2500 knob reminds me of a cheap Fisher Price toy I had when I was a kid and is the worst knob of all the MPCs. I currently have the 4000 and I'm not crazy about this knob either. The 2000xl knob was great, and Ive never played with the 2000 one.
