The data on the screen of my brand new black MPC 1000 is not exactly centered. Everything is still legible but it is off to the right about 4 or 5 pixels. Is there a way to fix or tweak this?

Obviously some people do care!

I'd take it back and exchange it personally.

yeah.....when I'm in a zone and getting down on the beats I don't mind it at all.......but it does bug me when I consciously look and stare at it...

My MPC1000 the pads are not center and some sit higher than others but I already had to return one of these bad boys so I am just dealing with it.

Damn dudes..my MPC1k BK is a MESS!!!

Got it bout 3 months ago, and within the 2 month, the tap temp function completely stoped workin...

On top of that, my erase button juss snapped last week..CRAZY!

Nutty...why cant they build em like the Caddies they were back in the pre Numark mode...

I think many people expect the MPC to be a tank...and it is...to an extent. You've got to understand that you can't go slamming the shit out of the pads. It's a piece of MECHANICAL hardware. Equipment is just not meant to be abused. Lighten up your touch and shit won't break. It's just how it goes.

No MPC in Akai or Akai/Numark's history has had the number of hardware issues that the 1000 has. But hey...it costs a mere $1K...you can't ask too much for that price

That's why i sold the ****..... 2kxl for me.... 4000 on the way... no hurry though... lovin it! :D

But i gotta admit though the 1k is a mighty machine for it's size! I do miss some features like beeing able to sample while playing the sequense... but i like to keep things simple.. makes me more creative...
