Is there a way to Solo a Pad?

If your tracking out, cant u just assign what sound u want to a specific output?? Just a thought

Yeah he can but what if he has over 15 sounds used. He still needs to mute the sounds that cant be routed. Cause they will still come out.

why not a combination of soloing the track, and sending the pad to an alternate output?

No they wont... if he's tracking out one sound at a time and he routes the sound to the output, only that output is connected to the input of the tracking device... SO NO THE OTHER SOUNDS WONT COME OUT

Man even if u do have all the individual outputs all hooked up, If he only assigns one sound to one of the outputs than thats the only sound that will be recorded. WHAT R U TALKING ABOUT??

I have an emu1820M 3 stereo outputs

2 Mono inputs



by the way the Erase technique works well I still achieve my result

but the nerd in me wants to try tracking out using the 8 outs.

LOL im thinkin about the stereo outs. If he was also using the stereo outs. Cause he didnt mention about his 8 outs or how ever many the 2500 has. Well him, you, you dog, cat, ect. can ignore what i said.

yeah man no need to solo and all that if u have the 8 outs. I dont know what mnh2410 is talking about.

Bassically lets say u have 8 sounds that u want to track out from the mpc to different tracks in hardware or software. It dont matter if the sounds in the mpc are on the same track. In the mixer screen (I got the XL) assign each sound to its own output and dump. Do the same for less sounds ie. 1-8
