listening to input thru while on main page help

I have a synth going into the mpc and was wondering how to listen to the input thru while on the main page. I usually just go to the record page to hear it but im sure theres an easier way.

Check the mixer section of the manual for 'input thru' - that should work out.

yeah, just go to the mixer, cut it on and then go to the main page.

ok, I got that down, now how can I record the anolog signal while I'm on the main page. I couldnt find it in the manual, thanks

you have to go to the record page to record.

Yeah and that sux, I wish you could record from the Iput thru page, because you all ready have those effects on it, Im actually shocked you cant do this.

you can - you just have to buy a mpc2500.


That's one of a few features where akai made the decision to not share those features with mpc1000 owners - to keep a distinct difference between those two machines.
