saving MPC2000 sounds on to PC

I've had two zip drives die on me.
Does anyone know how to save my samples/song files via my PC?
Do i need to get a SCSI card for my PC and can I edit sounds in the pc and send them back?
Are there any compatibility issues i need to address/any software i need to load in the MPC or PC?
I would reallly appreiciate anyones knowledge on this subject.
