Can anybody give advice on choosing a software sequencer/rec

Can anybody give advice on choosing a software sequencer/recorder?
I have Reason and want to start recording on my PC. I also have a 4000 and a Triton but thats beside the point. I just want something that is somewhat a gold standard in the industry and can sequence with ease and load plug-ins, all that kind of stuff. Im currently looking at Sonar 3 and Pro Tools. What do you guys suggest?

well...that cuts out Logic then.

i have Logic Audio Plat 6 and its probably the best choice at the moment as its now gonna include all of the logic collection in one box.

also logic has far better mid capabilities than any other sequencer. this is not my own conclusion...look in google.

also there are nice plugins, and not to mention the excellent Exs24 sampler.

ok enuff of logic.

as you are on PC...maybe Cubase SX with Halion would be great.

or

Pro tools if you plan on audio recording only. (its midi stuff is naff i hear).

Cubase SX compaitable with Reason
probably the best bet besides Pro Tools

I aprreciate some of the info guys. I will look into cubase. Are any of you familiar with Sonar. I heard Sonar 3 is out.

Nuendo all the way. There is even a reason button to connect easy.
