I understand what you are saying but your screen doesn't help me. That's why i'm wondering if you have a scan of it instead. I'm obviously changing things so spending $90 on a screen that will be a henderance doesn't make much sence. I wouldn't even ask for a scan but i don't have anything to go off of since my case got messed up and the letters lifted. Anyway, if i go ahead an make a template, you can be sure it will be found on here :wink:

Yo if some one is really good at this painting shit i would love to get mine to look like the classic he has in photoshop i have actuall wood sides already built so i just need it painted and lettering put back on but i want it to last and be first class worksmanship im willing to pay someone for this hit me up if your interested in the job.

Yeah, i don't know with the 1000 sides. They are too curvy. We will see though.

I talked to a sign shop today. They said the stencil will probably be less than $20. I can't open anything but the jpeg which is the wrong size or was saved at the wrong resolution. The guy i talked to figured it would be an easy fix. So i'm pretty sure i will go though with this. I was going to use the 2000 template as a basis but i will probably now just go with the 1k. Then use the red AKAI logo on the front of the case and the MPC 1000 logo on top in a seperate stencil.

If people want me to show my progress and go through the steps, let me know. Until i get the stencil, there are no garrenties what will happen. I know i can get the colors in gloss, i'm unsure if i can get the flat looking i'm after. Maybe a coat of flat or matte clear.

yeah i'd love to see the progress! i was going to do the same thing to mine, so i'd thought it through a bit. i work as a car sprayer, so i know a bit about paints. i was going to go with basecoat and matte lacquer like you suggested.

For real, yo should rip off this design with the matt black and black pads etc.

The best looking XL on here without a doubt, the simple colours and all set it off.

I can't really redo the pads unless i want to paint them. I'd have to use some rubberised paint probably for it to not wear. That would be fine except for i have never used any that come out smooth. If i could just replace the pads, i'd do it. But that is why i was thinking doing the sides that same black color.


Mr modnaR-I will defineatly keep this updated then. The main thing to remember is it may not get done in a timely fashion as school is getting hetic due to finals coming up very quickly. Secondly, i can't garrentee it will come out right, only time will tell that. I'd start right now but i don't know if the letters are going to be masked or reversed masked (meaning, i don't know if they will be the last thing to go on, or the first). I'm hoping the second but i'll have to see the stencil first and see what makes the most sence

cool, it'd be great to see whether it went well or not! personally, i'd start over: strip it back to the metal and begin afresh.

first your quote on a screen ($90.00) don't know where you get that from I haven't even mention the price,and I'm sure the screens that I make don't even cost near what you said. But I understand the rebuttle on trying to get somthing for free anyways it's more to it than downloading that template thinking your just going to reprint letters back on. I can repaint the classic or any color jus pm on that.

2nd......Please stop making offers. I don't care. I never asked you for advice, for help, etc. All i asked if if you had a template. Everything else i can do myself. And if it doesn't work...Oh well. I'm not doing this because this is my dream mpc, i'm doing it for fun. So please stop making offers. If it doesn't come out, **** it. I think it looks good in primer right now.

Whatever talon growup,quit trying to turn somthing around that's not there I really don't care for doing your MPC jus offered through pm ,somehow your making up these price quote's that was never made to you. I'm done conversating with you leave me out of this from here on.

PS: put the link to the thread where I made an offer to sell this screen to you. for the amount. also if I did MPC-Tutor would have said something about this on here. If I did I apologize.
