Ok, I just got an mpc 2500. I have my two KRK monitors hooked up to my KRK rockit 10 sub woofer with mike cables and the the sub is hooked into my yamaha mg12/4 mixer with 2 quarter inch cables. I have the 2 stereo out cabels in the back of the mpc also hooked into my mixer. Now what I dont understand is that the sound coming from the mpc makes a crackling noise in one of the monitors. When I switch around the 2 stereo out cables in the back of the mpc, the crackling noise shifts to the other speaker. I have tried replacing the cables, but that didnt work and i have tried everything else that I could think of. I am wondering if there is a possible bug within the mpc itself that would cause this crackling noise or if I am doing something wrong. Its really frustrating, I just want to make music. I would appreciate any help.

ok just turned the master level down to -6db (it was set at -12db) and so far no pops, but they come and go so we will see what happens. Thanks for the suggestion.

try buying gold plated quarter inch cables that might eliminate your pops...

There was a bug with early versions of the Akai OS which caused pops in the audio output. What version of the MPC OS are you running ?
