Effects MPC 1000

Hi,
i am a Newbie and have the following question: Each time I'm changing Effect 1 or 2 in a sequence, other sequences, which use the same Programm are also be changed. I don't know, what is the basis for the effects: a sequence, a programm or a track ? How can I change the effect in a sequence without changing other sequences ?

The effect is assigned to a pad, so whatever sample is on that pad will always have that effect in every sequence.

thanks for your answer. If the effects are assigned to the pads, this means that I have to use one pad always with the same effects, for example in a live performance where I use a lot of sequences (playing live together with a band). Or can I change this by changing the project (which is difficult during a permormance). Anybody with a sugguest to solve this feature ?

You can make different effect sets and activate them in a sequence with the "effect select event" in step edit.
