Just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. I was pointed to this forum from a friend of mine last night and lemmie tell ya, this is exactly what I needed. Yall are like a breath of fresh air to me. I just got my 2000XL about 2 weeks ago and I'm just now starting to read my book. I started on a boss dr-5 and a zoom rhythmtrack, also played with fruityloops for a while. I hope to gain the knowledge that yall have to crank out some bad ass beats. I'll prolly be asking some newbie questions for a while but I hope you guys help me out as much as you can. Holla at ya boy.

That little thing is a monster as far as complete drums machines go. It has EVERYTHING in it.

Not only is it a monster, but the dam thing can be ran off of 4 AA batteries.
I used to ride the train wiff my DR-5 some cheapo Koss headphones and attempt to make beats. It wet my appetite just enough to buy more and more gear. Now I'm an addict.

^^ hell yea I feel ya there. 4AA batteries to run a decent drum machine. You can't beat that wit a bat.

My boy was poor and had no home back in the day, he had a Dr-5 he got from somewhere and he used to sit in his car in parking lots at night and make beats, had it hooked up to his cheapo dash speakers.
