My super custom MPC

From that angle / light, I've got to say it looks the best I've seen. Tight.

Pretty fresh... the funny thing is that I painted mine with a very similar color scheme. What color are the side panels? I can't really tell if they're black or a purple. I'll post pics of my joint when i get home

i doubt the letters are still on there,
paint stripping is easy you just apply the paint thinner and wipe away till its the natural color.
the pads are their ogirinal color

the only reason im not touching my mpc is cuz id rather have the letters everywhere detailed.

That color is a result of spraying pearl white over a gray primer. I used the spray paint that's made for model cars and airplanes. The sides are a black n blue pearl... I thought that was gonna be like a navy blue, but it turned out to be almost purple. Not really what i wanted, but it works. It matches the color of the trim around the screen.

u need to put some lettters on that and then it'll look hella dope !!!

good color choice. did you spray clear coat? model paint isnt the most durable, ya know. i painted my 3k side panels with model paint and they flaked off after a week.

I put a pearl gloss clear coat over both colors. It kinda put a weird effect on the side pannels, but it still looks alright. My mpc has been painted for about a month and I haven't had any issues with flaking... however, i didn't sand the sides before painting them so they are a little more prone to getting dings and scratches. Ideally, I would've used auto body paint but I didn't feel like spending too much money. I just wanted to make my joint look a little different. I don't intend on puting the lettering back on, but I am gonna put some custom decals to make my drum machine look more like a piece of art than just a two colored box with buttons... I was hesitant to go the decal route, but i can get them for free and I don't have to worry about somebody messing up my joint trying to paint stuff on by hand

decals would look cool, but i think you really needed to have done them before the clear coat. black tribal decals, with red lettering on top of those would look cool i think.

ummm... yeah... i don't know about the whole tribal thing. i was thinking more along the lines of the logos of my crew, production company, and record label.
