Anyone interested in MPC2500 Case group buy?

Since no one stepped up to buy my MPC, I guess it's meant that I keep her...

just brought a Gigskinz softish case, otherwise those hard cases look ... pretty... hard.

A turntable case that I will mod into an MPC case. Room for both my laptop and the MPC. Thanks to the forum for that Grundorf (sp?) idea.

you can get a alu case + foam from hardware stores. i've bought 2 already, about 20€ per case...

never seen that here in the US. can you check the brand name, maybe its on the internet. i have a smaller pelican case and their great quality, id be down for the group buy but i wont have enough cash flow for the next 2 weeks.

He's talking about the tool cases like they sell at Home Depot and Frye's. they don't look bad but they tend to get pretty scratched up and dented after a while. But for the most part they do their job. But IMHO they still look like a tool case.

The two I was looking at seemed like it was on some James Bond sh*t.

I will probably pick up the Pelican in a few months and use the Odyssey I bought for the purpose it was intended for...my turntable.

I received my Odyssey case today. I was amazed at how fast the shipping was. It seems like I just ordered it yesterday.

My opinions on it are as follows:

- Excellent looks
- Twist latch adds better protection than "hook and hinge" type found on cheaper made cases (The one's one this case remind me of the ones found on higher end cases like Anvil and Jan-Al)
- Better protection than a soft case (especially when I finish modding out the foam)
- Great weight ratio
- Great dimensions (It is not too large but can hold my MPC, my laptop, and cables, etc.)
- Odyssey makes cases for music gear (No tool cases for me....not that I haven't tried that when I was on a budget)
- Super fast shipping. (I was amazed like I said before.)
- GREAT PRICE (You can't beat less than $60 SHIPPED!)

ONE MAJOR NEGATIVE
- Although it is marketed as a "turntable case", I could not fit my Numark TTX-1 or my Vestaxs for that matter. I would have to remove foam to fit the turntable which defeats the purpose of PROTECTION.

OVERALL: A GREAT BUY! I hope some of you guys jump on this when you get the chance.

P.S. Let me know if you guys are still in on the Pelican cases. I don't mind having that as well...
