current mpc2000 pricepoint

i currently have the opportunity to pick up a near mint mpc2000 locally for $450.

i know it has pretty much never been used, so its never been expanded either.

i've looked around at different used gear prices, but none seem to fit this particular situation (straight out the box).

im gonna try and talk him down since he just wants to get rid of it, and the memory, efx card, i/o card, etc. would cost another 200-300 at least.

i already have a mpc4k, so i am only considering this as an investment opportunity to resell it and make a little bit of cash.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try and get it for 375.00. If its basically new, then you can probably sell it on ebay for a profit. As far as up grading it, I dont really think that is worth it. Most people that sell their MPC's usually try and sell the upgrades seperate so they can make more money off of each piece of equipment. If you buy that hit me up and I might buy it from you just to hang on to it.

$450 should be a good price.. If it has nothing wrong with it. Some people are letting them go for more... But if you can go lower then go ahead...

Yea thats pretty decent for a 2k. I got my XL on ebay for $749.
