Well here's a piece that has piqued my interest. But here's my question.

With the sixteen velocity sensitive pads, how would you bang out drums like you do on the MP if you're using something like Fruity or Cubase. I'm guessing since you can't load the sounds on to the piece, you have to use them as a bank in your sequencer and just use the MicroKontrol to trigger the sounds.

Am I right or am I reaching here?

im guessing you would have to set up the MIDI Paremeters in Fruity Loops to match the ones on the KeyBoard. I know you can do it with Reason ( I use a Oxygen 8 with my Reason) but I dont know about FL

The MicroKontroller has presets to work with Reason, but not Fruity Loops. The best thing to do with Fruity Loops is the set a a templte file (just a blank file) with the midi Programmed in.

In Fruity it is easy to assign controlles... you just left click on it and then
-> Link to Controller. It will bring a alittle dialog box. Then wiggle the controller that you want to assign it to. Done. When you get all of the controlls assigned... save the template. When you start a project, start with that blank template and everything will be set up for you.

Has anyone found a windows 2k driver for the MicroKontroller? I think it only comes with an XP controller.

Understood, I know it's mad easy to setup the sliders to control functions, but what about using the pads to knock out drums in a program like Cubase, Sonar or Fruity?? Would I have to create a bank in these programs with these hits and then choose that bank to be controlled by my controller???

The pads work just like they do on an MPC. They Trigger a Midi Note and that note is interpretted by the software as a kick snare or whatever.
