i'm sure this has been covered a billion times, in fact, i'll provide a link to something similar.. http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=48485&highlight=midi
i DID search tho, and i'm still curious...
my dad has a nice keyboard with midi capabilities so i brought my mpc1000 upstairs to try it out. i plugged one midi cable into the keyboards midi out/mpc midi in, turned local control off, and found that i wasn't getting my desired result.
my keyboard was working nicely as a controller, but i want the sounds of the keyboard to play on my mpc.
soooo, do i need ANOTHER midi cable to plug from keyboard midi in to mpc midi out? or what?
