Pads not responding - Help!

Alright. This has happened to me like 4 times now and it seems to be happening more and more often. I turn on my 1000 and the pads don't respond at all. They don't play, I can't switch modes, or use the Numeric functions. Basically they act like they're dead. If I switch it on and off a few times or punch the others buttons a bunch the pads will eventually start working again, but each times the problem seems to last longer. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so is there a way to fix it permanently? HELP ME!

return your mpc if you can, if not take your mpc apart and reconnect the pad bank to the machine itself. good luck man, this sounds pretty sh!tty, i hope you get ahold of this.
