cant afford 40 for an e-book if I wanted to.
20- bucks
def.
Sorry, the price stays. 1000's of people have bought the XL book because they appreciate the value of the information and content inside it. I'm sure the 1000 users will be the same and judging by the amount of downloads today.
Go to 'MPC SOUNDS' and see how much they charge for 180 sounds. $29.99 minimum. So for an extra $10, buy my ebook and get 500 more sounds and a 250 page tutorial book that will help you learn your machine inside out. In what world is that classed as a 'crappy' deal?
Have a read of the contents summary on the product page and see just how much information I cover in this book and the depth I go into. I really am struggling to see how by any stretch of the imagination when you put it into perspective you could consider my book deal 'crappy'. It's about the information and content inside, not the medium it's delivered on.
I've also encountered this thread and I peeped the link for the book.
First I also thought that 40 bucks are maaad expensive for an ebook.
It's not because I'm thinking that an ebook is less worth than a real book - the information is the same - BUT the price of a real book is not only based on the information in it.
There are a few factors that make the price - you know, the printing, the publishing, the distribution.
It's not 100 % profit for the author.
So solely based on the book I would think that 40 dollars are too much.
BUT if you look closely THAN you will see that it's not ONLY the book.
You get a whole bunch of samples with it - preprogrammed PGM's and even Midi-Files (I assume some patterns - or maybe even whole songs?).
I'm pretty sure it's definitely some good starting material and even some good stuff for seasoned people.
So in comparison I think it's a GOOD value for the money.
